Englewood High School SmartLab Team Rocks the AT&T Mobile App Hackathon

Congratulations to the Englewood High School SmartLab Hackathon team!

As Englewood’s first year competing in the AT&T Aspire Mobile App Hackathon, they came away with third place overall, and first place in the Sphero app development.

Englewood’s SmartLab Facilitator, Bill Gilmore, wrote this about the team’s experience:

“We are all absolutely wiped out after 30 hours of intensive, trial-by-fire coding, fun networking, and team-building. We went into this absolutely cold with no real understanding of what to expect, and we were absolutely intimidated after the first two hours of the event. After getting over our initial shock and awe, everyone settled in and our students did themselves and the district proud!”

Bill Laurienti is a Content Marketing Specialist at Creative Learning Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education (English) from Colorado Mesa University and a Master of Arts in Secondary Teaching from the University of California's Rossier School of Education.
