Video Production Achievements at Partner Schools

Written by SmartLab

We’re proud to report several recent achievements by our SmartLab Studio partner schools.

Congratulations to Colorado partner schools Rock Canyon High School and Regis Jesuit High School who took 1st and 3rd place Video Production awards at J-Day—an annual event hosted by the Colorado High School Press Association!

Also worth celebrating is the very first broadcast by new SmartLab Studio partner school, Barack Obama School of Leadership and STEM, in Chicago Heights, IL.

At the end of the training sessions, the group of middle school students were able to write, direct and produce the broadcast entirely on their own using professional broadcast tools like teleprompters and virtual sets.

The students are off to a great start and are proud to share their learning experience. We’re confident we’ll see these young journalists earning video production awards soon too! Enjoy watching their first video broadcast below.
