The STEAM SmartLab at Discovery School of the Arts (Victorville, CA) is off to a great start! The program was launched this semester and Discovery elementary students are exploring at a wide range of technologies including animation, mechanics and structures, robotics, programming, video production and more.

New York City Chancellor Farina attends STEAM SmartLab Opening Ceremony!

PS 201Q, the Discovery School for Inquiry and Research, was in the news with the official ribbon cutting of their new STEAM SmartLab. The SmartLab, along with a Student Broadcast Studio from Creative Learning Systems was funded through a $400,000 allocation by city councilman Rory Lancman along with money from the Magnet Schools Assistance Program.

Serena Hills Elementary Announces SmartLab Donation

Flossmoor School District 161 (IL) announced a generous donation from alumnus Allan DiCastro to fund the district's first SmartLab. DiCastro's generous donation of up to $200,000 will fund a SmartLab at Serena Hills Elementary where he was a student in the early 1970's.

SmartLab Improves Math Scores at Denver School

An elementary school in Denver, Colorado, saw a spike in standardized math scores following the implementation of a Creative Learning Systems SmartLab. 

Samuels Elementary School, located in southeast Denver, is an extremely diverse school with more than 500 students who speak a collective 26 languages.  Nearly 75 percent of students are on free and reduced lunch.
