MidAmerica Industrial Park (MAIP) in Pryor Oklahoma has joined a growing list of corporate and private foundations providing funding for SmartLabs in their local schools.
MAIP is the largest industrial park in the state of Oklahoma and is home to more than 80 companies - from small manufacturing and service enterprises to global leaders like Google.
MAIP has committed $1.2 million to fund STEM labs in five local school districts. "Our goal is to create a pipeline of highly trained workers who possess the skills, attitude and characteristics needed by our employers, said Dave Stewart, Chief Administrative Officer for MAIP.Read More

Catholic School Center of Excellence magazine’s cover story this month features SmartLab partner school St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Waconia, Minnesota. The article focuses on St. Joe’s innovative C-STEM initiative where student-directed, project-based STEM education is fully-integrated with traditional Catholic values and learning. According to school principal Bruce Richards, “Our mission is to inspire all learners to become the person God intends. We do this by integrating Catholic payers, virtues and service with 21st-century learning”.
